Privacy Policy

ARX Technologies, LLC ("ARX Technologies," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Money Oracle mobile application (the "App") and this website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App or visit our website. Please read it carefully. By using Money Oracle, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

This policy applies to information we collect through the App, our website, and any related services, promotions, or events. It does not apply to information collected by third parties, including Plaid, Apple, Google, or any analytics provider, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

We do not collect payment card numbers or bank account numbers in full. Payment processing for subscriptions is handled entirely by Apple or Google on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service — authenticate your account, retrieve your financial data, and display your personalized dashboard.
  • Generate insights and projections — analyze your transaction and balance data to produce budgeting summaries, financial health scores, and forward-looking projections.
  • Send push notifications — deliver budget alerts, spending summaries, and account connection updates (with your consent).
  • Manage subscriptions — verify your Premium subscription status with the applicable app store.
  • Improve the Service — use anonymized analytics and crash reports to identify bugs, understand feature usage, and prioritize improvements.
  • Provide customer support — respond to your inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests from public authorities, comply with applicable law, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Protect safety and security — detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activities.

We do not use your financial data for advertising or sell it to data brokers. We do not build advertising profiles from your financial information.

3. Plaid Integration — Special Disclosure

Money Oracle uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. to connect to your bank and financial accounts. Plaid is a separate company with its own privacy practices. This section explains your rights and Plaid's role specifically.

What Plaid does: When you choose to connect a financial institution, you will interact with Plaid's interface. Plaid authenticates your credentials directly with your financial institution and returns account and transaction data to Money Oracle. Plaid is a licensed data aggregator and operates under its own End User Privacy Policy.

Plaid's End User Privacy Policy: Your use of Plaid's services is governed by Plaid's End User Privacy Policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal/end-user-privacy-policy/. By connecting a financial account in Money Oracle, you also agree to Plaid's terms.

What data Plaid provides to us: Plaid shares with us only the account and transaction data necessary to power your Money Oracle experience: account balances, transaction history, account names, and institution names. We do not receive your full account numbers or bank login credentials.

How to revoke Plaid access: You can disconnect your financial accounts at any time through Money Oracle's in-app settings. Revoking access stops future data retrieval but does not delete financial data already stored within your Money Oracle account history; you may request deletion separately (see Section 8).

4. Sharing of Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Plaid Technologies, Inc. — to enable financial account connectivity, as described in Section 3.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — to process and verify subscription purchases. These platforms handle billing; their privacy policies govern that data.
  • Analytics and crash-reporting providers (e.g., Google Firebase Analytics, Sentry) — to understand usage patterns and fix bugs. Data shared is anonymized or pseudonymized to the extent possible and is governed by those providers' data processing agreements.
  • Law enforcement and legal process — if required by a valid subpoena, court order, or applicable law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ARX Technologies, LLC, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice in the App before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • With your consent — for any other purpose, with your explicit consent.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (local storage, session storage) to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie-based data. Our mobile App does not use browser cookies but may use device identifiers and analytics SDKs as described in Section 1.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain website features.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers uses TLS (Transport Layer Security).
  • Encryption at rest: Sensitive data stored on our servers is encrypted at rest.
  • Password hashing: Your account password is hashed using a strong one-way hashing algorithm (such as bcrypt) before storage. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Credential security: Your bank login credentials are never transmitted to or stored by ARX Technologies, LLC. They are handled exclusively by Plaid's encrypted infrastructure.
  • Access controls: Access to production data is limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.

Despite these measures, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. In the event of a security breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

  • Account data — retained until you delete your account, after which it is deleted or anonymized within 30 days, except as required by law.
  • Financial data — transaction history and balance data are retained to power your historical view and projections. Upon account deletion, this data is removed within 30 days.
  • Analytics data — retained per the applicable analytics provider's policy (typically 14 months for Firebase).
  • Legal hold — we may retain certain information for longer periods if required by law, litigation, regulatory compliance, or to resolve disputes.

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. Users between the ages of 13 and 17 must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service, as provided in our Terms of Service.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The App and website may contain links to third-party websites or services (including app store pages, Plaid's portal, and external resources). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you visit. ARX Technologies, LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites.

11. International Users

Money Oracle is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, processing, and storage.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Service, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance by: (a) sending an email to the address associated with your account, and/or (b) displaying a prominent notice within the App. The "Effective date" at the top of this policy will always reflect the most recent version. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you must stop using the Service.
